The Venza is Toyota's new entry into the growing car-based SUV segment. Unlike Toyota's other crossover SUVs, the five-seat Venza does not feature three-row seating. It's powered by a 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine or optional 3.5-liter V6, both mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard and all-wheel drive is optional.

On the outside, the Venza's sleek profile looks similar to the Ford Edge or Buick Enclave.

The Venza has not yet been test driven, but initial reports show the interior is well-appointed.

Key Details

The Venza comes in only one trim, with standard features including a six-CD changer, cruise control and dual-zone air conditioning. It also comes with Toyota's STAR active safety system, which includes anti-lock brakes, electronic brake force distribution, traction control, vehicle stability control, and more. A backup camera and Automatic High Beam system are optional.
