It’s built on a slightly shorter C-Class platform, but its distinctive profile resembles that of the boxy G-Class. The GLK-Class competes with the Audi Q5, Lexus RX 350, and the Acura RDX, among others.

Several option packages are available, adding a panoramic sunroof, power tailgate, upgraded wipers and mirrors, hard-drive-based navigation system, COMAND interface, premium sound system, larger wheels, and aluminum roof rails. Stand-alone options include leather upholstery, heated front seats, running boards, rear-seat entertainment system, and various safety features. Cargo capacity is 54.7 cubic feet, according to Mercedes-Benz.
The standard power plant in the 2010 Mercedes-Benz GLK-Class is a 268-horsepower, 3.5-liter V-6 engine that produces 258 lb.-ft. of torque, coupled with a 7-speed automatic transmission that features the automaker’s TouchShift manual shift control and “comfort,” “sport,” and “manual” settings.
