What Changed for the 2010 Lexus HS:
- The HS is an all-new model in Lexus’ lineup, slotting in between the IS and ES
- The HS is Lexus’ fourth hybrid model, and is the most fuel-efficient model in the brand’s lineup
- Available in standard and Premium models
- Features the latest generation of the Lexus Hybrid Drive propulsion system, including a 4-cylinder gas engine (a first for the brand), which generates 187 horsepower and can run on regular unleaded fuel
- Lexus says the HS’ fuel economy ratings of 35 mpg city/34 mpg highway (35 mpg combined) are more than 30-percent better than the most fuel-efficient model currently in the brand’s lineup
- Claimed 0.27 drag coefficient (Cd), making the HS among the most aerodynamic models in its class
- Standard Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) system and optional Pre-Collision System with Dynamic Radar Cruise Control
- Futuristic cockpit and interior design that “emphasizes innovation and craftsmanship”
- Approximately 30 percent of the interior and luggage area is covered with plant-based, carbon-neutral “Ecological Plastics,” which emit less carbon dioxide during a product’s lifecycle than plastic made solely from petroleum, according to the manufacturer
- Windshield features infrared-ray (IR) reduction properties, keeping the interior of the vehicle cooler
- Leather seats are standard, as are a moonroof, premium audio system, and a new multi-media package, including Bluetooth, satellite radio, voice recognition, and USB iPod connectivity
