2010 Land Rover LR2 SUV

The Land Rover LR2 is a compact luxury crossover SUV that’s priced lower than other Land Rover models but still offers strong off-road capabilities and a long list of standard features, the automaker says. It was introduced as a replacement for Land Rover’s Freelander model, and competes with the Volvo XC60, Audi Q5, Acura RDX and BMW X3, among others.

The all-wheel-drive 2010 Land Rover LR2 is available in one trim level with many option packages. Standard equipment includes 19-inch alloy wheels, fog lights, power accessories (including front-seat adjustability), perforated leather seats, keyless ignition, keyless entry, trip computer, two-panel sunroof, rear parking sensors, rear spoiler, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a 9-speaker sound system. A Style package of options addresses the exterior trim; a Climate Control package adds heated windshield, front seats, and washer jets. The HSE Plus option package adds Bluetooth connectivity, satellite and HD radio, and upgraded mirrors and headlights; the HSE LUX options include the Plus options and add a navigation system and a premium sound system with a rear-seat headphone module.

The 2010 Land Rover LR2 offers 8.3 inches of ground clearance and 59 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seats folded down. Its all-wheel-drive system sends most of the engine’s power to the front wheels, but more power can be sent to the rear wheels when off-road situations demand it.

The 2010 Land Rover LR2 features a 230-horsepower, 3.2-liter, inline 6-cylinder engine and a 6-speed automatic transmission with manual shift control. It delivers 15 mpg in the city and 22 mpg on the highway, according to the EPA.

Standard safety features on the 2010 Land Rover LR2 include anti-lock disc brakes with brake assist, stability control, traction control, roll stability control, hill descent control, front side air bags, curtain side air bags, and a driver’s knee air bag.

Starting MSRP for the 2010 Land Rover LR2 was $35,500.
