The G35 coupe is a true performance two-door with all the amenities expected of an Infiniti luxury car. Though built from the same platform as the G35 sedan, visually the two have little in common. The coupe is nearly five-inches shorter and two-inches wider than the G35 sedan; it also shaves about two-inches off the roof height. The fastback design severely cuts into rear passenger room, but coupe drivers live by the creed "three's a crowd." From a pure performance point of view, the G35 is probably the only premium Japanese coupe that can run the BMW 3-Series scared. Other coupes, such as the Mazda RX-8 and Pontiac GTO can dance with the G35 on the track, but lack the luxury element to impress at valet parking.
