Rising fuel costs may be cooling America's love affair with the SUV, but the need for utility still exists. If a full-sized SUV is out of the picture, then perhaps a mid-sized model might fill the void. The GMC Envoy is just such an SUV, with lots of power, plenty of room, decent handling and reasonable fuel economy. The XL version of the Envoy has a longer wheelbase creating space for seven.
