- The 2010 Ford F-150 is a carryover model
- New SVT Raptor version from the Ford Special Vehicle Team debuts for 2010
- The 2010 Ford SVT F-150 Raptor is a factory-built, performance off-roader including 320-hp, 5.4-liter V-8 engine or, later after its initial debut, a more powerful 6.2-liter V-8
- Raptor model is the only factory street truck equipped with internal bypass shocks from Fox Racing Shox, and they’re visible to bystanders
- Raptor boasts 13.4 inches of rear suspension travel, 11.2 inches of front suspension travel, B.F. Goodrich All Terrain TA/KO 315/70-17 tires, and unique wheels
- Raptor model is equipped with Ford’s first application of Hill Descent Control, and has a stability control system with Sport and Off-Road modes to reduce or eliminate intervention by the traction and stability systems
- Raptor model gets styling modifications with a new front end, vented hood, functional hood and fender air extractors, and a 7-inch stretch in width
- Raptor’s interior includes unique dash and console detailing, auxiliary switch board that helps make aftermarket customization easier, and a black leather steering wheel with a molten orange centering line
- The luxurious F-150 Platinum gets more standard equipment, including ambient cabin lighting, power sliding rear window, heated front and rear seats, satin gloss Lacrosse Ash wood accents, Sony 6-disc CD changer, and other features
- Last year’s F-150 SFE model, designed to maximize fuel economy, is discontinued for 2010, but its fuel-efficiency improvements remain available on several F-150 trucks
- Parents can use the F-150’s new MyKey technology to program a limited top speed of 80 mph, ensure that the traction control is never turned off, to sound a persistent seat belt reminder until everyone is buckled up, and to limit stereo volume to 44 percent of maximum volume
- New Sync with Directions, Connections and Information provides hands-free access to personalized traffic reports, turn-by-turn driving directions, news reports, sports scores, weather forecasts, and local business directories
