Borrowed from DaimlerChrysler's Mercedes-Benz truck manufacturing division, the Dodge Sprinter is the first full-sized European-based vehicle to challenge the more traditional vans from Ford and Chevrolet. Although the Sprinter may look unconventional, its usefulness as a cargo and people hauler is undeniable. With a cab tall enough for a grown man to stand upright and a lengthy list of add-on packages, the Sprinter may very well be the most versatile van ever marketed in this country. Its fuel-efficient diesel engine is also a radical departure from the fuel-thirsty V8 gasoline engines that dominate this segment.
