What’s New?
Chrysler’s Town & Country minivan enters its final model year before an all-new 2008 version goes into production, thus the only changes for the 2007 model are three new colors—Cognac Crystal, Marine Blue, and Modern Blue.

Overview
Chrysler launched the original minivans and, along with the Asian automakers, have driven both Ford and General Motors out of the segment and into crossover utility vehicles with three rows of seats. The Town & Country is available in standard- and long-wheelbase versions. The longer version adds 6 inches between the front and rear axles as well as nearly a foot of overall length and additional interior room for passengers and cargo.

The base model—the Town & Country with standard wheelbase—comes with a 170-hp, 3.3-liter V-6 engine linked to a 4-speed automatic gearbox. It has air conditioning, a CD player, power locks, power front and rear (quarter panel vent) windows, cruise control, a tilt steering column, and 7-occupant seating in three rows (2+2+3). Options include a 6-disc CD changer, dual-zone climate controls, anti-lock brakes, a DVD rear-seat entertainment system, power adjustable pedals, an 8-way power driver’s seat, a power passenger-side sliding door, and side curtain air bags covering all three rows.

The long-wheelbase Town & Country comes in standard, Touring, and Limited trim levels. The standard model has Chrysler’s Stow ‘N Go second-row seats that fold into compartments in the floor, as well as anti-lock brakes with disc brakes at all four corners. The Touring model adds a 200-hp, 3.8-liter V-6 engine and many features that are optional on the standard version, plus an options list that includes three-zone climate controls, a navigation system, fog lamps, Chrysler’s ParkSense rear backup system, a 6-way power front passenger’s seat, and a power sunroof. The Limited comes with a standard navigation system, as well as ParkSense, power-adjustable pedals, and standard side curtain air bags.
