Chrysler has added a long list of passenger-friendly features, as standard or optional equipment to the 2010 Chrysler Town & Country. A new trim level has also been added to the mix.
The 2010 Chrysler Town & Country was available in three trim levels at the beginning of the model year, and a fourth level was added later. The basic LX trim features 16-inch wheels, a full power accessories, front and rear air conditioning, cloth upholstery, stowable second-row seating, and a basic sound system. A Power Convenience Group package of options includes power sliding doors, tailgate, and driver’s seat, while the Entertainment Group package adds an elaborate rear entertainment system.
The Touring trim adds the Power Convenience features as standard, and also features a larger engine, overhead storage bins, automatic headlights and foglamps, and other features. Options packages available with the Touring trim can add heated seats, a third-row entertainment screen, sliding center front console, remote ignition, touch screen stereo interface, and rear-view camera. The Touring Plus level, offered later in the year, incorporates those options as standard equipment. Finally, the Limited trim adds 17-inch wheels, xenon headlights, a nine-speaker stereo system, rear climate control, rear parking assist, and other upgrades. Many other options are available as packages or as stand-alones.
All models of the Town & Country have four-wheel drive and a V6 engine. The basic 175-hp, 3.3-liter V6 with four-speed automatic transmission delivers 17 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway, according to EPA estimates. The Touring and Touring Plus trims have a 197-hp, 3.8-liter V6, and the Limited trim is powered by a 251-hp, 4.0-liter V6, which is also optional with the Touring Plus trim. Both of those engines come with a six-speed automatic transmission and deliver 16 mpg in the city and 23 mpg on the highway.
The 2010 Town & Country receives five stars on all government (NHTSA) impact tests.
Starting MSRP on the base level 2010 Town & Country is $25,175.
