The peppy TrailBlazer SS becomes a distinct model for 2007 and comes in two packages: 1SS and 3SS. The remainder of the TrailBlazer lineup will now feature a tire-pressure-monitoring system as standard equipment and also receive a new regulated voltage control, designed to improve fuel economy by reducing the load on the engine generated by the alternator. Other updates include standard installation of the OnStar Generation 7 emergency communication system, as well as three new exterior colors.
