2018 Nissan LEAF ratings and reviews

Designed for the driver who wants to reduce their dependence on fossil fuels but who still has places to go, the 2018 Nissan Leaf has a range of 151 miles, making it a good option for around-the-town errands and even slightly longer trips. The Nissan Leaf also gets a new design for 2018 and is now slightly bigger than earlier models and has a more conventional appearance. A 40-kWh lithium-ion battery has helped to increase the range of the vehicle considerably, from 107 to 151 miles (up from 84 miles, the range of the earliest Leaf models). Trim levels include S, SV, and SL. Standard on all levels is ePedal technology and automatic emergency braking. The SL trim, the highest level, has a variety of safety features, including blind spot monitoring, driver attention alert, and rear cross traffic alerts. The engine is an AC synchronous electric motor with 148 horsepower. The fast charging option charges the battery to 80 percent in 40 minutes.
