First introduced in 2016, the Kia Optima added a few new features in 2018. The 2018 Kia Optima comes in five trim levels, including a new S trim, which is right above the base-level LX model. True to its name, the S level trim is sporty, with a rear spoiler, 17-inch alloy wheels, and a sporty bumper. Overall, the 2018 Kia Optima sees a few updates, such as the addition of a 7-inch screen infotainment system, blind-spot detection, rear parking assist and rear cross-traffic alert. It comes with a 10-year or 100,000-mile warranty. A 2.4 liter, DOHC 16-valve I-4 engine is standard on the LX, S and EX models while the LX 1.6T has a 1.6-liter DOHC 16-valve I-4, w/ Turbocharger engine. The top-level trim, the SX, has a 2.0-liter DOHC 16-valve I-4, w/ Turbocharger engine. A six-speed automatic transmission is standard on most models, except for the LX 1.6T which has a seven-speed dual clutch transmission.
