2010 Lotus Ratings, Reviews and Awards

Not only did 2010 mark the reentry of Lotus into Formula 1 after a 16-year hiatus, but the British automobile manufacturer brought a new model into production. 21.9 inches longer than the popular Elise, the Lotus Evora is new for 2010. The two-door luxury sportscar is designed to compete with other similarly-sized sportscars, such as the Porsche 911 and Cayman. It has a 3.5L V6 engine with a rear wheel drive system and a 6-speed manual transmission. The 15.9-gallon fuel tank gives an estimated 18 miles per gallon in the city and 27 miles per gallon on the highway. The vehicle produces 258lbs per foot of torque at 4700 rpm and 276 horsepower at 6400 rpm. Lotus also released the more powerful Evora S for 2010. The supercharged model maintains the same basic design with a more powerful 295lbs per foot of torque at 4700 rpm and 345 horsepower at 6400 rpm.
