2009 Rolls-Royce Ratings, Reviews and Awards

The focus of the 2009 Rolls-Royce line is the Phantom Coupe, which sold out its initial allocation in November 2008. Reaching a new generation of Roll-Royce buyers, the Phantom Coupe has the same frame as its slightly larger Phantom Drophead Coupe (a convertible) as well as the same 26.4-gallon fuel tank. The Coupe, however, is sportier than the Drophead and gets to 60mph faster than a Porsche Boxster. Both the Phantom and the Coupe enjoy the same ZF 6HP32 six-speed transmission, as well as updated brakes, front and rear suspension, hubs, and wheels. The Coupe, however, rolls in with a 6.75-liter V-12 engine that clocks in at 453 hp. The Phantom, itself, also got an upgrade with a newer, fresher bumper. All models enjoy a surprising new feature: an optional headliner with LED lights that mimic stars at night.
