2009 Jeep Ratings, Reviews and Awards

Rugged yet stylish, Jeep continues to dominate the auto industry with a design all its own. In 2009, Jeep revealed numerous mechanical and design upgrades including a HEMI V8 available on both the Grand Cherokee and Commander. A refined V8, the engine offers increased horsepower as well as a higher rated fuel economy thanks to an MDS system. Instrument panel remodeling can be found on nearly every model in the 2009 lineup as well, with the Patriot and Compass enjoying a thorough interior makeover. New to the Compass are a revised suspension tuning for increased handling and a smoother ride, as well as better sound insulation. Meanwhile, the Patriot received a brand-new center console and door panels with LED-illuminated cupholders, padded armrests, and an all-new trim. Both the exhaust and suspension have been retuned on the 2009 Patriot, offer a smooth, quiet experience. Hill Start Assist was also added to the Jeep Wrangler.
