2009 INFINITI Ratings, Reviews and Awards

INFINITI unveiled the FX in 2009, causing the world of luxury cars to view the company in a new light. More pronounced than the first generation with a redesigned exterior featuring an aggressive front end, the INFINITI FX also included powerful 3.5-liter V6 and 5.0-liter V8 engine options. Coming in both 35 and 50 models, the FX comes standard with solid magnesium paddle shifters, quilted leather seats, and hand-stained maple wood trim. Safety features like brake assist and an advanced lane-departure warning system appealed to SUV owning families, while an EPA estimated 20mpg highway appealed to the eco-friendly. INFINITI's M35 and M45 models both added all-wheel drive as an option for buyers, with the M35 featuring the 303 horsepower V6 engine. Their G37 Sedan now features the VQ37HR V6 engine previously found in the 2008 coup as well along with a seven-speed transmission. A new hardtop convertible design was also added to the G37 lineup.
