2009 Acura Ratings, Reviews and Awards

Revitalized, redesigned, bold. These three words marked Acura's 2009 lineup, featuring a new take on their flagship RL model. With new styling and mechanical upgrades, the RL proved to be one of the most sophisticated touring sedans on the market. Equipped with a new 300 horsepower V6 engine, the 2009 Acura RL delivers immense power while maintaining a smooth ride with responsive handling thanks to the company's SH-AWD system. Models came in five-speed automatic transmission complete with SportShift mode and optional paddle shifters. Each RL comes standard with 18-inch alloy wheels, Xenon HID headlights and a power moonroof. The leather interior is coupled with luxurious features from automatic climate control to Bluetooth wireless connectivity. Never short on safety features, Acura included collision mitigation braking systems, adaptive cruise control, and new active head restraints. Rounding out their lineup of outstanding high-end accommodations are USB ports, ventilated front seats, and a rearview camera.
