2008 GMC Ratings, Reviews and Awards

2008 is a light year for GMC, with the big auto manufacturer largely tweaking or cosmetically altering existing lines. The Yukon, for example, is substantially similar in 2008 to its 2007 siblings, though there are two new gasoline-electric hybrids in the mix. Also new for the Denali lineup is a rear-drive model; the StabiliTrak (the stability control that's standard) is also new this year. The Yukon comes in the base model (the Yukon) or the Yukon XL (similar to the Chevy Suburban); both models can be upgraded to the Denali. Engines vary from a 4.8 L, 295 hp engine to a 5.3 L, V-8 engine. The Sierra 1500, GMC's full-size pickup truck, gets a new All Terrain trim this year, as well as two new interior designs. It comes with a 4.8 L, V-8 engine and maintains 19 highway mpg. The Acadia, GMC's full-size crossover that fits eight, is nearly identical to last year's version and gets 275 hp on a 3.6 L, V-6.
