2008 Audi Ratings, Reviews and Awards

Audi launched three models in 2008, including the eye-catching R8, featured in Marvel's Iron Man movie, out the same year. The first supercar from Audi, the R8 has an aluminum space frame and a 4.2 L, V-8 engine that's mid-mounted and delivers 420 hp with a combined 16 mpg. Brakes are vented and cross-drilled disc brakes for superior stopping power. Also launched in 2008 were the A5 and the S5. The A5 is the S5's base model, with a 265 hp, 3.2 L, V-6 engine that gets 21 combined mpg, while its sibling gets an upgrade 354 hp and a V-8. The large coupes also share the same flashy aesthetic. Audi's first SUV, the Q7, arrived last year (2007), and nothing of significance changes in 2008. It still comes with a 280 hp, 3.6 L, V-6 engine (optional V-8), an enormous sunroof (optional), and standard full-length side curtain airbags.
